Carl F. Schoeppl, Esq., Appointed Temporary Receiver for Defendants in FTC Enforcement Action by the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida, June 11, 2002: Carl F. Schoeppl, Esq., was appointed by the Honorable James C. Paine, Senior District Judge, United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, upon the recommendation of the Federal Trade Commission, as the Temporary Receiver for America's Shopping Network, Inc., Consumer Services, Inc., Karen Zagami, Carianne Sica, Louis Gangi, HME, Inc., and John Epstein in an FTC enforcement action styled FTC v. America's Shopping Network, Inc., et al., Case No. 02-80540-HURLEY (S.D. Fla.). In ASN, the Defendants allegedly conducted a nationwide fraudulent work-at-home scheme.

Mr. Schoeppl, in his capacity as Temporary Receiver, has suspended the business operations of America's Shopping Network, Inc., Consumer Services, Inc., and HME, Inc., seized and secured all known assets and property of the Defendants, and has frozen in excess of $125,000.00 in funds of the Defendants pending further order of the Court.
